On the Street

Daily Activity Log Program for Downtown Public Safety Ambassadors

The activity log program is run on the handheld computers and it tracks - where, when and what services the Public Safety Ambassadors are providing. The data tracked on the handhelds is menu-driven, customizable and replaces all activity logs typically recorded with pen and paper. Our current BID customers track what information visitors are requesting, what incidents are taking place (street crime, homeless contacts, etc), merchant contacts, service calls and much more.

The information collected is automatically tied to a user, date/time-stamped and plotted to a location on the handheld computers. The data acquired on the handhelds can be uploaded periodically from any WiFi hotspot in the field or back in the office at the end of the shift. [ view interactive demo ]

Merchant Database and Walking Directions

A database of all businesses within the BID will be contained on the Public Safety Ambassadors handheld computers. The Public Safety Ambassadors will be able to generate printed step-by-step walking directions to any BID businesses in the database.
We will start with your existing database of businesses, but the Public Safety Ambassadors will also be able to update, correct and add entries in the field.
All changes/additions to the business database are first posted for review to an Admin User whose responsibility will be to verify and approve all changes before they are made to the main database.

Printed Coupons on demand

The Public Safety Ambassadors will carry portable printers capable of printing coupons, directions, event info and general info for any business in the system.

Driving directions to area attractions

The Admin User will also be able to create driving directions to top area attractions outside the BID. The Public Safety Ambassadors will be able to generate and print detailed driving directions to these destinations.

Online Reporting

The system consolidates pending log entries on Eponic's servers every 15 minutes, these log entries get posted to a pending bin awaiting approval. Once approved, you will immediately be able to generate log reports online from any computer with internet access.
Access to the Reporting and Admin extranet site requires a user name and password. Reports can be generated on any type or sub-type of log activity - these categories are completely customizable and you define the categories.
The Reporting extranet offers a powerful, but simple to use interface for generating reports on your data. Reports are formatted for printing and easily exported to excel with a single click.

Admin tools on Password Protected Extranet Site

Admin tools for adding or modifying user info run on the password secured Reporting and Admin extranet. The Admin programs also enable the admin user to review Guide logs and edit them prior to uploading. The admin user approves all changes to the Business Database, as well as creating and reviewing the coupons and step-by-step directions. The Admin software handles the daily uploading and periodic synching of the handhelds and contains the utilities for resetting and restoring the data on the handhelds if needed.
